While interning at NBCNews.com in Fall 2016, my main task was to create photo galleries. I would either get a gallery request from the other photo editors or pitch my own gallery ideas based on the news of the day and photographs moving through the wire. For this gallery, which was featured on the homepage of the website, I edited down a Reuters photo package of 45 images. In addition to selecting images, I wrote headlines for both the website and social, complied the accompanying gallery summary and edited picture captions. I also meta tagged the gallery for SEO and promoted the gallery on @NBCNewsPictures Twitter account.
